Game Description:


Spiritbound Odyssey is a third-person puzzle/adventure platformer. There are two characters that you can play as, One specializes in mobility and one in strength. You have to constantly swap between them in order to make it across platforms, solve puzzles, and fight enemies/bosses.

Month two: Created 2 custom mechanics and their own levels to showcase.

Month three: Cut anything that does not work well.

Month four: Finalization and post production.

  • Created a total of 5 levels.

  • Organized level planning and documentation.

  • Managed a shared folder with level/work information.

  • Oversaw progress on other levels.

  • Scripted some level mechanics and event triggers.

  • Added assets to blockmesh.

MVP Level

This level's purpose was to pitch the game's core design pillars, as well as a number of mechanics to other teams and gather feedback.

Mt. Becker

Mt. Becker was made to showcase my custom mechanic: The Focus Mode. This mechanic reveals interactions through surfaces as well as their connections. Some of the connections are disrupted with rotators but they can be put into their right position to fix the problem.

Kade Forest

Kade Forest was made to showcase my other mechanic: The Ice Sword. This weapon would give the combat character a boost when fighting to allow the player to mow down enemies and have fun doing it.
